We follow a 10:1 ratio except for the 2 year old class we follow 8:1.
Yes. Our doors are locked at all times except during pick up and drop off. All teachers are present at these times of the days to ensure no one comes in or out that is not expected. People who come during operating hours are to ring the doorbell to be let in.
Each class enjoys a snack during the day at the time designated by their teacher. We also offer extended day hours. For both snack and lunch, we do ask that the parents provide the food for their child. Please keep in mind that we are a nut free school!
Cars line up outside the front doors during pickup and drop off. Mrs. Waters or another teacher will assist in getting your child in or out of the car. We do NOT clip the child into the car seat for safety reasons. During pickup we put your child in the car and then you will pull around the side of the school to clip them into their car seat.
Tuition is due the first of each month.
We offer music, stretch and grow, library, art, and science on a weekly basis. Additionally, we have visits from the teddy bear clinic, dentist, fire station and school bus.
This will vary depending on the teacher. Mrs. Waters is excellent about sending school wide information home in your child's folder, but each teacher is different with how they communicate. This could look like texts, emails or phone calls.
Yes, your child does need to be potty trained. If they are in the two-year-old classroom they need to be working on training, wear a pull up, and be able to pull it up and down.
We understand that these little bodies are developing their immune systems and sickness happens. We ask for 24-hour fever free and symptom free before they return to school.
This is weather dependent, but we do schedule half an hour outside play time each day. There is always at least two staff outside and we ensure the gates are locked at all times.
With our excellent staff that is dedicated to the whole child we do everything we can to ensure your child is ready for kindergarten! We work not only on academics but also on the social skills that are needed to thrive in a classroom setting.
At our preschool, we believe in a positive, supportive approach to guiding behavior. We focus on teaching children social-emotional skills, problem-solving, and self-regulation through modeling, redirection, and positive reinforcement. When challenges arise, we work with children to understand their feelings, encourage appropriate choices, and provide gentle guidance to help them learn and grow.
The safety and well-being of every child are our top priorities, especially when it comes to allergies. First and foremost, we are a nut free school. We make sure all snacks and meals follow the dietary restrictions provided by parents. We communicate this with other parents to make sure cross contamination is not a factor. We ensure if there are any medical needs of our students we post who they are, what their situation is, and how to handle it, to ensure all staff is aware throughout the building.
We do host our parent teacher conferences in the spring. The teacher will communicate with you if this is needed. If at any other time the parent or the teacher feels the need to communicate about the happenings of the child or the class, it will be available.
